NATO VIGILANCE refers to NATO's increased vigilance activities, particularly in the maritime domain, to ensure the overall security of the Alliance and demonstrate the readiness of the armed forces. This includes the increased presence of aircraft carriers, the execution of exercises, and the operational control of maritime forces to demonstrate the ability to cooperate and defend.

The NATO "VIGILANCE", which does not fall under Article 5, recognizes operational personnel deployed under NATO command or control within the boundaries of the Area of Operations (AOO) of Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) since February 24, 2022.
